Celtics Talk: Should the C’s re-sign Evan Fournier? originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

The Boston Celtics are expected to be among the most active teams in the league this offseason. In fact, they’ve already shaken things up by trading away Kemba Walker, making Brad Stevens their new president of basketball operations, and hiring Ime Udoka as their new head coach.

Forsberg: Stop daydreaming about Lillard, C’s fans

One lingering question is Evan Fournier’s future in Boston. Acquired at the 2020-21 trade deadline, Fournier appeared in 16 games for the C’s averaging 13.0 points and 29.5 minutes per game. Will Stevens and the Celtics opt to re-sign the 28-year-old wing? If so, what could the deal look like?

You’ve got a good player that you can figure out exactly how you want to use him and the first step is figuring out does he fit into your plans financially. …

John Karalis on Evan Fournier

“I think somewhere in the three years, $50 million range, something around there would get it done. Something with an average annual value of $15 million or so. That would be a good value and very tradeable.”
