Steph Curry had perfect answer to brother Seth’s trash talk

Sibling rivalry: Steph had perfect answer to Seth trash talk originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

It’s natural for siblings to have rivalries, especially when the two choose to pursue the same line of work. Seth Curry has carved out an impressive NBA career for himself in the shadow of his two-time NBA MVP older brother and Sixth Man of the Year father.

The two Curry brothers duked it out on Monday night when Steph’s Warriors took on Seth’s Philadelphia 76ers. The elder Curry confirmed there was trash talk between the two, but said after the Warriors’ 107-96 win that he didn’t have to say much down the stretch.

Curry scored 20 of his 49 points in the fourth quarter, helping secure a crucial road victory over the Eastern Conference’s top team. Steph outscored Seth 29-0 in the second half.

Seth finished with 15 points and five assists in 35 minutes, missing his only two shot attempts in that final frame.

Steph had his second consecutive 40-plus point game in the victory, and fourth in his last five games. In the month of April, Curry is averaging an astounding 40.7 points per game while shooting 50 percent from 3-point range and 91 percent from the foul line.

There still is plenty of season left to play, but it seems likely both brothers will be in the postseason. Seth and the 76ers certainly will be, while Steph and the Warriors likely will have to claw their way in through the new play-in tournament.

There always will be back-and-forths between these two while they play in the NBA, but there’s no question that Steph got the better of his younger brother Monday night.
