Kyrie Irving driving vs Kings
Nets star Kyrie Irving will miss Tuesday’s game on the road against the Phoenix Suns with lower back tightness, the team announced.
Irving scored 40 points including going 9-of-11 from three-point range in Monday’s win over the Sacramento Kings. He has looked very comfortable in recent games playing shooting guard, as James Harden has taken over the point guard role.
It will be the 10th game that Irving has not played in this season, after previously sitting out due to personal reasons.
In 20 games this year, the former No. 1 overall pick is averaging 28.3 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game.
The Nets have won three-straight games to improve to 17-12, and are now third in the Eastern Conference behind the Milwaukee Bucks (16-11) and Philadelphia 76ers (18-10).
