Andre Iguodala paid enough attention to his former teammates’ preseason opener to agree with one Warriors fan’s tongue-in-cheek gripe.

The Miami Heat forward liked a tweet with a screenshot of Eric Paschall putting the ball on the floor rather than passing to a wide-open Steph Curry behind the 3-point line during the Warriors’ 107-105 exhibition win over the Denver Nuggets at Chase Center on Saturday.

Iguodala and Curry grew close in their six seasons as teammates, making five straight NBA Finals appearances alongside one another. They’ve razzed one another about their respective golf games, but Iguodala has always had the utmost confidence in Curry’s on-court abilities.

“I think they will be motivated from last year,” Iguodala said of Curry and the Warriors in an interview with The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch last month. “I think it was good for them to have that time off. Going to that many Finals takes a toll on a body, especially what is expected from [Curry]. It was good for him to just be able to let the brain settle down from the last five years. I think Steph is in his bag right now in terms of the prep he’s been putting to get ready for the upcoming season. I’m really, really excited to see what he comes out and does.”

Curry scored just 10 points (on 3-of-10 shooting) Saturday, his first game in over nine months. He only played in five last season with Paschall, in large part because he sustained a broken left hand last October.

That’s 408 fewer than Iguodala played in six seasons with Golden State, so the second-year pro should have plenty of time to learn just when he should pass to Curry.
